The New York Police Department is responding to an active shooter inside Bronx-Lebanon Hospital Center in New York. At least two people have reportedly been shot, police confirmed. The shooting began at 3 p.m., and several reports noted that shots were fired on the top floors of the 17-story hospital. Officials were working to evacuate patients on Friday afternoon. Bronx-Lebanon hospital is a 55-year-old institution affiliated with the Mount Sinai School of Medicine, and it sits on Grand Concourse avenue in the Bronx.
